Anwaar:

This article I can relate to. Judith Moriarty's words have been falling from my lips since high school. My family, my elders, were thoughtful and caring; they got involved and included us as children in their talks and actions. And the children of my generation, some of my siblings and cousins, carried this family tradition on.....The current younger ones, well, they've been indoctrinated, educated and, infected by our rotten society and their parents have been totally wrapped up in many diversions.

All my life I've had a love/hate relationship with mankind. I was so aware of the spoiling and pollution of our jewel of a planet. I've worked hard with groups to divert this and to educate and time after time watched, not just the money makers, but individuals themselves be so careless with their actions. I never accepted war, poverty, senseless consumerism, racism either, or any of the reasons they give us for their existence.

I grew up in the public school system where children are trained to be laborers, nothing else....I made my educators and religious teachers answer my questions; I didn't keep my mouth shut; I couldn't if I tried. This was really hard on me. I was a know it all, a trouble maker, disrespectful.....But it wasn't as bad back then as it is now. I see where we're headed [hell we're there now] and I look at the current generations and see that they do not have any skills to survive their future. How will their ease with computers, cell phones, and video games serve them in a world without? All that technology could wink out at a moment's notice, and it requires huge amounts of dwindling natural resources to maintain. They cannot think their way out of a paper bag. They don't know where their food comes from let alone how to grow it or obtain it or, how/where to get water. In short, for them and where we're headed as a planet and species....they will die. And I'd rather not have such humans in my future camp.

I see how this happened to our population and I would say the rest of the world is lock in step with us. My compassion arises when I realize that this has been done to them since birth. But somewhere along the way, there were many, many parents who let institutions, educators, and advertising executives take control of their children. Toward them, it is difficult for me not to feel any contempt.

BIG, BIG Sigh,
