The United Vegetative States of America

by Anwaar Hussain

Where is the free American media and their kind hearted patrons when their G.I. Joes are pumping up Iraq with depleted uranium, napalm bombs, cluster munitions and poisonous gases even as these lines are being written? Is death less camera-friendly in Iraq or is it less worthy of the Americans’ attention? Are Iraqis children of a lesser god? Go talk of Schiavo’s right to live or die.

After having lived for 15 years in a persistent vegetative state, Terri Schindler Schiavo crossed over from here to the hereafter on the last day of March.

With her blood scent up in the air, the feral American media went berserk in the last two weeks of Schiavo’s life. Using this so called freest press in the world, the American public was lead on a leash by the right-wing activists with a not so subtle help from the neofundos ruling the roost in their great country. The pro-life campaigners remained at the point of this bizarre national entertainment. Read more

The End Of Days

by Anwaar Hussain

heil_to_the_chief.jpg

The enlightened world citizenry needs to jolt itself into action before the lunatics on either side decide to answer the call on one fateful night of full moon. Otherwise, the ‘End of Days’ may not seem such a far-fetched idea.

SUICIDE ATTACKS have been on the rise around the world for about the last two decades. Since many such attacks have been actually, or purportedly, committed by Muslims, it has been conveniently obvious that Islamic ‘fundamentalism’ and ‘militancy’ are the central causes. Another expedient conclusion has been that these ‘fundamentalists’ abhor Christianity in general and Western civilization, or it’s so called way of life, in particular.

So Fountainhead is a Hate Blog

by Anwaar Hussain

An email received by Kurt Nimmo’s Blog yesterday and Kurt’s reply. You expect to sell your art work to Americans while you publish the most incredible lies. I just bet you are an American too. Re: your article about Fallujah published in Anwaar Hussain’s hate blog.

How do you know that the photos by Dhar (sic) Jamail weren’t taken in the aftermath of the war? Where did you get them? Where exactly did Dhar Jamail get them? Unless you can answer these questions, don’t state your horrid case about your own country as if it were fact. Read more

This President Is Right Indeed

by Anwaar Hussain

never.jpg

On 20th January 2005 the President of United states of America, in his inaugural address, spoke to his people and the world. He said;

“Today, America speaks anew to the peoples of the world.”…“At this second gathering, our duties are defined not by the words I use, but by the history we have seen together. For a half century, America defended our own freedom by standing watch on distant borders.”

That certainly is the truth and nothing but the truth. As the US President was speaking those words, the United States maintained well over 700 foreign military outposts spread over a total of 140 countries around the world, including Asia, Europe and Africa. At least 60 of these are considered permanent. More are coming up. 85% of all foreign troops present within the Middle East are American. This President is right indeed. Read more

Will The Real Tony Blair Stand Up, Please?

by Anwaar Hussain

blairbush.jpg

Does Tony Blair imagine himself as “Richard the Lionheart” against the supposed tide of “Islamic extremism” forgetting that neither he is Richard the Lionheart nor is there a Crusade going on? It is a plain old day light robbery being staged in full view of the whole world and he is being seen as the comic side kick of the murderous thieves.

The Neocons are Neocons. For years their agenda was clearly spelled out. They were shouting themselves hoarse with how they would shape the world given a chance. Only nobody was taking them seriously. The world at large and the Muslim world in particular, found out the deadly earnestness of their ominous intent much later while digging the graves of a hundred thousand odd innocent human beings. But what about Tony Blair? What were his compulsions? Why did he join this monstrosity? What was it that drove the man to telling the lies that he told his nation to get them to allow him to join the Neocons’ sick adventure? What moral imperatives compelled him to ditch all pragmatism and forced him to avoid leveling with his people? What high beliefs were those? Or was he driven not by high beliefs, but by something rather sinister or compulsive? Were those compulsions on his personal level or as the leader of a nation guiding whose destinies was incumbent upon him? Read more

Are There Any More Ward Churchills Out There?

by Anwaar Hussain
image672636x.jpg
Has it occurred to Americans that the inmates have taken over the asylum? Do they ever ponder that they are not the only real people on earth, that they do not have a birth right to feed their security on the insecurity of others?

The embattled University of Colorado Ethnic Studies Professor Ward Churchill continues to be harried. His plight has been turned overnight into a vicious media spectacle. His crime…. writing an essay called “Some People Push Back”, in which he made a simple point that “if U.S. foreign policy results in widespread death and destruction abroad, we cannot feign innocence when some of that destruction is returned.” Read more
